Derker Courtyard Project

On Monday 13th September 2010 – there will be a “tour and talk” session around the different courtyards in this area. It is hoped to come up with some ideas for recycling opportunities within the courtyards. If you would like to come along and join in we will be meeting at 10.30am at 21/23 Cheltenham Street, Derker, Oldham.

Community Litterpick

There will be a community litterpick on Thursday 14th October 2010. This will take place near the Wordsworth Road/Whetstone hill Road area of Derker. If anyone would like to be involved, please contact Fran Szulinski on 0161 7706699 for further information.

Derker Courtyard Fayre

There will be a clean up session with the Derker Wardens, Groundwork, FCHO and Eco team from Mayfield School on Friday 9th July at 21/23 Cheltenham Street.

A resident clean up session will be on Friday 16th July 1pm -3.30pm at the back of 21/23 Cheltenham Street.

The Derker Courtyard Fayre celebration will be on Friday 6th August – 2pm-5pm at the back of 21/23 Cheltenham Street, Derker Oldham. There will be fun activities for all the family with Face painting, crafts and planting. Come along and join in!

Derker Wardens secure funding for Westminster Gardens

The Derker Wardens have heard today that they were successful with their application for funding from Community spaces to re-landscape the area to be called “Westminster Gardens”. The piece of land which is to be re-landscaped can be found at the top of Westminster Street/Stoneleigh Street, Derker, Oldham.
